Alicia Keys, or Alicia Augello Cook, is an American singer and songwriter. Alicia was born on January 25, 1981 in Manhattan in an international family. Her father, Craig Cook, was a representative of the African diaspora and worked as a conductor. Her mother, Teresa Augello, had Irish-Italian origin and worked as an actress and a paralegal.
